Tuesday night the Brunswick High School Lacrosse program was back in action at BHS Stadium.  The JV team was looking to have its first winning season since Coach Hartman's arrival in the Brunswick area against the Boonsboro Warriors.  That win wouldn't come on Tuesday night.  The JV team looked overwhelmed by the Boonsboro attack and lost the game with a final score of 7-4.  The JV team has 2 games remaining to win one and secure a winning record.  The Varsity took the field against Boonsboro for the 2nd time this season.  Earlier this year (at Boonsboro), Brunswick won the game 12-8, but the game was sloppy and not very well played on all parts.  On Tuesday night, the Railroaders continued to steam roll their competition as they put up 13 goals in the first half, finishing with 21 overall, and the phenomenal defense kept the Warriors off the scoreboard all night for Brunswick's first shut out of the season.  Tuesday night not only marked the 10th win of the season for Brunswick (10-2), but also Senior Night for the Railroaders.  Brunswick will see 9 seniors leave the program at the season's end.  The Seniors for BHS are:

Goalie / Attackman - Alex Pagel
Attackman / Midfielder - Tate Rolland
Attackman - Thomas Stuckey
Midfielder - Michael Millett
Attackman - Dylan Hunt
Midfielder - Kyle Moler
Defenseman - Kenny Floria

Coach Hartman's Thoughts on the Boonsboro Game:
"We played Boonsboro earlier this year and played extremely sloppy lacrosse.  We had alot of penalties, and were inconsistent in every phase of our game.  We have been playing really good lacrosse the last 3 games, and that continued tonight.  We wanted to prove that we were capable of scoring quickly on any opponent we face.  The boys played hard tonight and won almost all of the "hustle" plays that typically lead to winning the game.  We have a huge test on Thursday as we head to Walkersville.  We are hoping for a victory and the ability to lock up the number 1 seed in our Region for the playoffs."

Upcoming BHS Lacrosse Action:
